[La barca] desde la cual enseñaba a las turbas; porque enseña a las gentes con la autoridad de la Iglesia. Y en cuanto a lo que dice, que subiendo el Señor al barco suplicó a San Pedro que le separase un poco de la tierra, da a entender que se debe predicar a las gentes con moderación; ni mandando lo terreno, ni apartándolos de la tierra desde lo profundo de los misterios. Jesús sentía que el gentío le seguía por intereses mundanos. Cuando le quisieron hacer "rey" terrenal, tomó la barca y se alejó. Querían comida gratis y relevancia social. El Reino de Dios no es de este mundo. Cuando se quiere hacer un reino terrenal siempre es para beneficiarse de ello. Las Torres de Babel son construcciones humanas. Con ellas no se llega nunca a Dios. Por desgracia, nosotros tendemos a crear estas construcciones con demasiada facilidad y rapidez. Nos interesa la relevancia en el beneficio personal.

Jesus felt that the crowd followed him for worldly interests. When they [the crowd] wanted to rise him as earthly "king". Then, he took the boat and drove away. They wanted free food and social relevance. The Kingdom of God is not of this world. When you want to make an earthly kingdom, it is always to benefit from it. The Towers of Babel are human constructions. With them, you never reach God. Unfortunately, we tend to build these human scaffoldings quickly. We are interested in relevance and personal benefit.
