Salvar las almas o perderlas - Save the souls or lose them.

------
But though our Lord was healing the body, He asked this question, “is it lawful to save the soul or to lose it?” either because He performed His miracles on account of faith in which is the salvation of the soul; or, because the cure of the right hand signified the salvation of the soul, which ceasing to do good works, seemed in some measure to have a withered right hand, i.e. He placed the soul for the man, as men are wont to say, “So many souls were there.”

SAINT AUGUSTINE, DE QUAEST. EVANG., LIB. 2, QUAEST. 9

The health of the body is not a condition for the salvation of the soul. But no doubt recovering the bodily greeting is a symbol with power for the soul to realize the importance of the Grace of God. Christ healed the body seeking to move the soul of so many in need of the encounter with God. Today we despise miracles, and we are not interested. We believe that miracles are "sleight of hand" that conceals a hoax. This distrust shows that we have lost communication with God. The symbols no longer speak to us of the Truth, because we do not believe that there is anything true. Why do we want a source of Living Water if we distrust and prefer to die of thirst?

El Hijo del Hombre es dueño del sábado - The Son of Man owns the Sabbath

This is a great Mystery. The countryside is this whole world. The harvest of the field is the numerous fecundity of saints, scattered in the field of mankind. The ears of that field are the fruits of the Church that were caught by the work of the apostles, who fed on our advancement, and as separating the fruits of the minds from the foliage of the bodies. They brought them out in the light of the faith, through the proclaims miracles of his works. (Saint Ambrose of Milan)
The mass media are like painters who take reality and interpret it according to their ideology and human interests. Nowadays, we hear that the Church is in total crisis, and everything falls apart. No doubt there is a terrible institutional crisis. A crisis of the human structures. Adhesions that we have created around the Christian Message and Mystery. All these adhesions fall as the Tower of Babel fell. What collapses, what falls to the worldly ground, is not divine work, but human adherence. "If the Lord does not build the house, the masons strive in vain" (Sl 127,1). But behind the adhesions, there is a whole sown field full of wheat ready to collect. These are the fields of which St. Ambrose speaks to us. Wheatfields in which each of us must be a mature spike prepared to be cut to make bread. God help us to be good wheat for His Will.

Dios no desea mal alguno hacia nosotros.

... after having received the gift of the Holy Spirit, and already renewed man in the spiritual life, another kind of fasting is prepared in a timely manner that anticipates the joy of the sacrament, having been the one who receives it, as the dress old man, who should not clumsily sew a new piece. Because this doctrine belongs to the conversion of a new life and doing the opposite, it would be like separating from the general law of fasting, which teaches us to abstain, not only from the concupiscence of food but also from the joy of worldly pleasures. (Saint Augustine, de quaest. evang. 2, 18)

Pleasures- What pleasures? Is well-being a pleasure or a gift from God? We must be careful because sometimes we tend to think that God desires our discomfort and suffering. God wants no evil towards us. Now, sin always entails an offer of mundane, selfish, and deceptive pleasure. The malicious pleasure since sin ends up causing suffering. Suffering for our sins helps us to atone for our sins and understand the Will of God. We can also suffer from the sins of others. The charity lack damages their executor and who receives the abuse. Suffering from the evil of others helps us see all the injury we cause to others without realizing it. It helps us to understand that we must love even our enemies.

Lo profundo de los Misterios - The depths of the Mysteries

[The boat] from which he taught mobs; because it teaches people with the authority of the Church. And as for what he says, that when the Lord boarded the ship, he begged St. Peter to separate him a little from the earth, he implies that people should be preached in moderation; neither sending the land nor removing them from the earth from the depths of the mysteries.  (Saint Agostino, de quaest evang. 2, 2)

Jesus felt that the crowd followed him for worldly interests. When they [the crowd] wanted to rise him as earthly "king". Then, he took the boat and drove away. They wanted free food and social relevance. The Kingdom of God is not of this world. When you want to make an earthly kingdom, it is always to benefit from it. The Towers of Babel are human constructions. With them, you never reach God. Unfortunately, we tend to build these human scaffoldings quickly. We are interested in relevance and personal benefit.
