Como el águila que excita a volar a sus polluelos, el Señor eleva suavemente a sus discípulos hacia las cosas sublimes. Pues primeramente enseñó en las sinagogas e hizo milagros. A continuación eligió a los doce, que llamó apóstoles. Después los llevó a ellos solos, predicando por las ciudades y aldeas. Por esto sigue: "Y los doce con El". (Beda. Catena Aurea)
Reflexión: Todo lo que incluyen los Evangelios es importante. Es importante porque es Palabra de Dios. Cuando Dios nos habla, deberíamos bajar la cabeza y dejar que esta Palabra entre en nosotros y nos enseñe y nos convierta. Igual que a todos aquellos que seguían a Cristo, nosotros debemos seguirle con humildad y docilidad.

Like the eagle that excites its chicks to fly, the Lord gently elevates his disciples to sublime things. For first he taught in the synagogues and performed miracles. Reflection: Everything that the Gospels include is important. It is essential because it is the Word of God. When God speaks to us, we should lower our heads and let this Word come into us and teach us and convert us. As with all those who followed Christ, we must follow him with humility and obedience.
