Todo el Evangelio es Agua Viva - The whole Gospel is Living Water

¿Por qué el misterio de la inocencia celestial va destinado a una prometida y no a una virgen todavía libre? ¿Por qué los celos de un prometido deben poner en peligro a la prometida? ¿Por qué tanta virtud parece pecado y la salvación eterna, un peligro? (...) ¿Cuál es el misterio que abrazamos aquí, hermanos? Ningún rasgo de pluma, ni una letra, ni una sílaba, ni una palabra, ni un nombre, ni un personaje del Evangelio deja de tener sentido divino. Se ha escogido a una prometida para que sea ya designada la Iglesia, esposa de Cristo, según lo dice el profeta Oseas: «Yo te desposaré para siempre, te desposaré en justicia y en derecho, en el amor y la misericordia; te desposaré en la fidelidad y tu conocerás al Señor» (Os 2,21-22). Reflexión: Como dice San Pedro Crisólogo, todo el Evangelio tiene un sentido que trasciende las propias palabras que lo contienen. Todo el Evangelio es Agua Viva que nos llama a acercarnos a Cristo. Lo que Dios inspira tiene su marca indeleble. Tenemos que dar gracias a Dios por esta maravilla que nos ha legado.

Why is the mystery of celestial innocence destined for a bride and not for a virgin still free? Why should jealousy of a fiance endanger the fiance? Why does so much virtue seem sin and eternal salvation a danger? (...) What is the mystery we embrace here, brothers? No pen feature, nor a letter, nor a syllable, nor a word, nor a name, nor a character from the Gospel ceases to make divine sense. A bride has been chosen to be already designated the Church, the wife of Christ, as the prophet Hosea says: «I will marry you forever, I will marry you in justice and in law, in love and mercy; I will marry you in faithfulness and you will know the Lord »(Os 2,21-22). Reflection: As San Pedro Crisólogo says, the whole Gospel has a meaning that transcends the words that contain it. The entire Gospel is Living Water that calls us to approach Christ. What God inspires has its indelible mark. We have to thank God for this wonder that has bequeathed us.
