Bienaventurados los perseguidos por causa de la justicia - Blessed are the persecuted because of justice

Por esta razón se deduce que la verdadera justicia tiene compasión y la falsa justicia desdén, aun cuando los justos suelen indignarse con razón por los pecadores. Pero una cosa es la que se hace con apariencia de soberbia y otra la que se hace por celo a la disciplina. Porque los justos, aunque exteriormente exageran sus reprensiones por la disciplina, sin embargo, interiormente conservan la dulzura de la caridad y, por lo general, prefieren en su ánimo a aquellos a quienes corrigen, que a sí mismos. Obrando así mantienen a sus súbditos en la disciplina y a la vez se mantienen ellos en la humildad.

Reflexión: La justicia es un don de Dios, ya que nosotros no podemos ser total y completamente justo con nuestras propias fuerzas. La justicia conlleva amabilidad y tambiés disciplina. Amabilidad para señalar los errores que vemos y que también anidan en nosotros mismos. Disciplina, para no ocultar el error o intentar hacerlo pasar por virtud. ¿Cómo hacer esto? Es imposible con nuestras humanas fuerzas. Tenemos que pedir a Dios que nos señale el camino que une misericordia y justicia.

 From which we may gather, that true justice feels compassion, false justice scorn, although the just are wont rightly to repel sinners. But there is one act proceeding from the swelling of pride, another from the zeal for discipline. For the just, though without they spare not rebukes for the sake of discipline, within cherish sweetness from charity. In their own minds they set above themselves those whom they correct, whereby they keep both them under by discipline, and themselves by humility.

Reflection: Justice is a gift from God since we cannot be totally and entirely fair with our strength. Justice entails kindness and discipline. Kindness to point out the mistakes we see, and that also nest in ourselves. Discipline, so as not to hide the error or try to pass it by virtue. How to do this? It is impossible with our human forces. We have to ask God to show us the path that unites mercy and justice.
