En sentido místico, esta casa es el hombre. Leemos con frecuencia que el cuerpo y el alma son dos. Ahora, si están conformes los dos constituyen uno solo: uno que sirve al otro que manda. Las afecciones del alma son tres: una razonable, otra concupiscible y la tercera irascible. Por lo tanto, dos se dividen contra tres y tres contra dos. Porque después de la venida de Jesucristo, el hombre que era irracional se hizo racional. Eramos carnales y terrenos, mandó el Señor su espíritu a nuestros corazones ( Gál 4) y nos hicimos sus hijos espirituales.

Reflexión: El fuego de Dios es el fuego del Espíritu Santo. El fuego que Dios nos envía para transformar nuestra naturaleza y dotarnos de sabiduría. Este fuego entra en nuestro corazón y le hace brillar para guiar a otras personas hacia Dios. Sólo necesitamos releer la venida del Espíritu Santo para darnos cuenta que nada vuelve a ser igual.

Now in a mystical sense the one house is one man, but by two we often mean the soul and the body. But if two things meet together, each one has its part; there is one which obeys, another which rules. But there are three conditions of the soul, one concerned with reason, another with desire, the third with anger. Two then are divided against three, and three against two. Reflection: The fire of God is the fire of the Holy Spirit. The fire that God sends us to transform our nature and endow us with wisdom. This fire enters our heart and makes it shine to guide other people to God. We need to reread the coming of the Holy Spirit to realize that nothing is the same again.
